Purpose
The purpose of the Association is to
protect and improve the environmental health of Lac Mahon,
provide a single point of contact with municipalities and other levels of government for matters concerning the environmental health of the lake,
maintain the cottage access roads Chemin Moncrieff and Chemin du Paradis (formerly Sentier Moncrieff).
The Association participates in annual meetings of La Pêche lake associations.
Membership
Please contact us if you would like to join the Association and support our mandate.
Association members have a voice in the activities and priorities of the MLPA, and elect the Executive.
Any person over the age of 18 who owns a cottage or residence that directly borders Lac Mahon or is separated from the lake by a roadway may be a member, with one voting member per property.
The annual membership fee is currently $20 per property, which supports annual water testing plus milfoil control and other efforts to protect the lake environment.
An annual road maintenance fee (currently $150) applies to cottages and residences that are served by Chemin Moncrieff or Chemin du Paradis.
