Septic tanks should be pumped out every 4 years for cottages, every 2 years for residences. The Municipality has a program of septic-system inspection, and began inspections on Lac Mahon, but their focus has been on lakes affected by blue-green algae (e.g. Lac Bernard).
The MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais maintains online geomatic maps that show individual properties, and can also show property owners and assessed values.
